Β©Nintendo. Β©Gamefreak. Fanart purposes only. Not for sale.It's... taken me months But I've slowly extended Rayquaza's body and now he has a neck and some arms and wind flaps!! OMGGG Here he is as of 3 months ago ish :
He's about 1.5 meters. Or more maybe... I'm just estimating. And he already makes a great pillow! I can hug his cos he's just small enough to carry around. Unfortunately though, when he grows some more body, that will become impossibru
Well, yesh.

thanks!! I do the "big" parts by machine: so making his segments, head, and the individual components of the arms. Then I sew the components together by hand (for the arms) and the gold and black lines are by hand too, as well as the teeth and eyes!

scilk In reply to pokette-arts [2012-07-11 12:27:12 +0000 UTC]
haha well I'm winging it.... I actually am working from the pokedex picture, and had a look at how other people sewed the wind flaps things. Rest is drafted up over several months! When making a pattern, it takes a veeeeery long time to figure out the shapes of complex parts like the head... But the best thing to do it practice on simple projects!

can i ask how you made this? as in, do you have some sort of walkthrough sewing instructions and/or fabric piece schematic?
if not, would you consider making one eventually?
i would REALLY love to make one of these... although maybe a bit smaller than the one you're making
because, well, THIS IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. like, BEYOND amazing. adsfgh i have no words to express my love. the third gen legendaries are by far my favorites i____i

haha thanks!! Well I'm sorta making up the pattern pieces as I go along... >_> By sticking bits of paper together... The body is quite simple if you sew, being just rectangles to make a tube shape. The head was the hardest part, obviously. I still have the pieces, so if you like, I will draw the shape up for you to scale to the appropriate size for you? Would that be useful? ^_^
