This is a tribute to one of my favorite games of all time: Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask
I wanted to do something different with the shading I plan to continue to do in future works. I am using two colors now. I hope you all like it.
I know it looks good on human skin at least. 
The background was just me having fun with the filters option on photoshop. A bit of a retro thing when it comes to my work. Back in 2010 I use to do filter backgrounds all the time with the black bars. I thought I would go ahead and bring it back

and I might fix Zora Link's trapezoid. It is.. well, not existent in this.
I believe I spent about... 16 to 20 hours on this. A lot of the time was experimenting with Link's colors and how I would do the shading.

Truly, one of the greatest gaming titles of our existence.
All the things are here, That creepy looking Moon, Deku link, Tatl(no Tael?),and of course, The infamous Skull kid.
This really takes me back, I really hope Nintendo remakes this someday.

Considering how much as I loved OoT, I'm sad that I missed MM.
Link and the giant mask guy especially look great with your shading. You really bring out the intricate contours, like those on Link's clothing and shield. His skin looks warm and lively too -- I think your coloring experiment turned out well. I've always had trouble finding a nice color tone for skin...it's either too yellow or purple.

Friggin' amazing tribute to a pretty friggin' awesome game Scitt! I really love the shading and also the poses and also I love how you drew Epona and also the Skull Kid and also the MOON,the glowy eyes on the Moon look really awesome and nice background too! Fantastic work here Scitt!

oH man I can't tell you how great this is! You know how much I love this game so I'm TOTES freaking the hell out about this piece!
Omg where to start
I LOVE what you did w/ Skull Kid; the pose is fantastic and just so...Skull Kid! Most people draw him, possessed by the mask or not, being really cryptic and malicious -- and you managed to...IDK, the way he's holding the moon and the orcarina in such a taunting manner, you captured SK's mischevious disposition, which was actually a really big part of his character and the story! He's a little imp and you expressed it beautifully with the gestures. And the way he's looming, even if him being huge wasn't a part of the game, is fantastic!
And the mask itself looks great! I love how lifeless the eyes look; you can tell its a mask, but at the same time, you know something isn't right about it.
And the MOON. You even added THE TEAR. OHMYGOD DETAILS FANGASM. I can't even fkjgl
And you drew all Links forms! I love lil Deku!Link up there with his little flower..copter..things. X) So adorable! Goron!Link and Zora!Link have such actiony, dynamic poses as well -- Goron!Link especially, I just love that pose! I can't imagine how difficult it was to pull off with such a round, thickset character.
And Link, Epona and Tatl all look fantastic! I absolutely love Epona in this, it really looks like you tried to actually do the research on horse anatomy and it turned out really great and believable! Her mane and tail are GORGEOUS. And Link! I love how he's holding the bow and getting ready to release the arrow. The details on his clothing are amazing, and the shield looks fantastic! And the way you shaded the skin looks pretty believable! :>
The background also works really well! It doesn't look lazy at all! It's simple, but it really fits in with the dark, omnimous feel coming off the Skull Kid; plus, it looks really nice without distracting from the characters at all!
Aaaa this is just really fantastic hon! <3 I've loved all your Zelda pieces thus far but this one takes the cake!
