Haha I like your skin more tbh. It's funny though, as I rarely get to use yours since I'm almost always trying to fix mine.

I know how you feel. I don't even really get to use my own skin because if I add shortcuts or change settings I will have to delete and reset them whenever I release a new version.

Been trying to figure a way to add more app buttons above the soft keys...I know it's possible, I'm just at a loss...After looking at the script for so long everything gets blurry...

Do you mean the dock by any chance?

Maybe...Where the apps are...Phone, Messages, App button, E-Mail, and Browser...Yeah the dock...Wow it's been one of those days

Haha, yeah, I know that feel! Anyways, the dock I made is customizable, but to be honest it's a pain in the rear. I suggest downloading RocketDock and using that with the icons supplied in this Rainmeter skin.

If I get the time, I'll make a tutorial or something on how to set it up.

bastion40 In reply to ScoobSTi [2013-04-19 04:31:47 +0000 UTC]

I already have RocketDock. Didn't think of using it in the locked position. A black dock with black spacers should get the same look. Now if it will run two docks at the same time. I have all my pc icons in the top of the display on autohide. I wanted to do a my web icons on the bottom dock. Back to the drawing board. Thanks once again for all your help. Once I get everything all set up the way I want it I'll post an image.

Go to My Documents > Rainmeter > Skins > Android 4.1 Jelly Bean > @Resources and open the Variables.inc file. In this file, you will find all of your settings. Look for "PlayerName" and "PlayerPath" on the left side. Change "iTunes" (default) to "AIMP". The line should look like "PlayerName=AIMP". Then, for the .EXE path, change the default iTunes path to your AIMP3 installation path. There is another way to change all these, but I think it is more tedious.

And, no you don't need the latest version of Rainmeter. Some new skins require the latest version because they might have brand new features found only in the latest version.

Thanks for the help bro...I think I found the more tedious route earlier and ended up changing 3 lines, but then the album artwork wasn't showing and it wanted my to run AIMP while the Jelly Bean player was going as well. Thanks again for all the help you guys are the best...

OK...So I downloaded CodyMacri's version cause it was the right resolution...The skin is great, I love it...The only problem that I am having is getting the Google Player to work...I'm using AIMP3...I didn't see any place to paste the .exe path...Also is it required to have the beta version of Rainmeter to get the full experience of the skin...

Awesome piece of work.

I'm having a little trouble with the lock screens - should I have to cycle through two unlock screens? First one is the standard slide unlock (with app select) and the second is the pattern unlock. Is it possible to turn one off?

Apologies if I've missed the settings anyware.

Thanks - R

ScoobSTi In reply to DiRozzo [2013-04-09 22:30:39 +0000 UTC]

Thank you! And yes, the multiple screens are normal. It's like that on the "real" version of Android, so I implemented it here. That means, there is no way to turn it off.

I might add more customization options to version 2, so hopefully that turns out well.

Just thought I'd say I'm working on version 2.0 of this skin! New features should include better optimization for different resolutions and (hopefully) a better file layout to prevent further installation issues.

This will take a very long time, possibly a few months, as I basically have to rebuild the entire skin again. The original took about 3-4. If Android Key Lime Pie gets shown off before I finish 2.0, then I might just replicate that instead of another Jelly Bean.

I cant find the Digital Clock widget.

It says my version is 1.0.2, and i have downloaded it today.

What am i doing wrong?

Also, it gives the error of Overlay.png for me too.

This is weird... teh file seems to have downgraded itself back to 1.0.2, but I uploaded 1.0.5.

I just reuploaded 1.0.5, see if it works now.

Hiii, Great work, looks great...
But I too am getting the overlay.png error while installing.
The Installer package installs the layout but doesn't install the skin, giving the overlay.png error in between.
I checked and overlay.png file is present after layout installation but error is still coming.
Can you help?
And will teh skin work fine on 1920x1080 display? I am using win 7 and rainmeter 2.5
Thanks

how can i download this??

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ScoobSTi In reply to theallspark12 [2013-04-01 13:32:30 +0000 UTC]

First, go to Rainmeter.net and download the 2.5 Beta version. Once it finishes downloading, install it and then you can run it if you want. Then go back to this website and click the "Download File" button. Save this file somewhere where you can easily access it, like your desktop, and run it. A window will pop up, so just click the install button and let it do its magic.

After the Android skin finishes installing, a fullscreen setup window should appear. Follow the steps correctly and then you'll have JB on your desktop in seconds.

If you need any help, just ask!

ScoobSTi In reply to DaKoder [2013-02-22 02:25:16 +0000 UTC]

No really, but if you want, you could just download the whole thing and delete all the folders except for the @Resources, @Welcome, Settings, Google Now and Google Search folders.

If you do decide to go this route, know that you won't get the soft keys skin, which means you have to manually close the Google Now skin.

Exper1mental In reply to ??? [2013-02-06 00:05:54 +0000 UTC]

It errors out on installation, the Overlay.png is missing. I tried going to that file location too and explorer errors out. My best guess is somewhere along the line you had a bad upload from your computer to the downloadable that partially corrupted it.

I tried to extract it in 7-Zip, the result was it said the overlay.png "file is broken." However, unlike the installer, it finished the extraction so I was able to get folders and file that were not installed originally due to the error.

It should be fixed if you re-compile the skin and then upload the new RMskin.

Also, @ 1920x1080 the background spills over onto my secondary monitor. You might try setting up a formula where the user sets at the very beginning of the setup their preferred screen resolution which then writes to a variable (or variables) which determines the size and position of everything.

Just out of curiosity, do you plan on adding compatibility for multiple monitor configurations?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ScoobSTi In reply to Exper1mental [2013-02-06 00:29:15 +0000 UTC]

Alright, I'll get around to uploading a new installer, possibly along with some skin updates.

I have been thinking about a resolution setup skin, but that would mean pretty much recoding almost the whole skin which will take a while. I'll see what I can do.

And as for the multiple monitors, I don't think so as I don't have any extra monitors to test on.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Exper1mental In reply to ScoobSTi [2013-02-06 04:39:47 +0000 UTC]

k, I might play around with it since its already spilling over for me, just have to work out how to get things on the second screen w/o having anything cut between the two screens (which looks terrible if your monitors don't have meshing resolutions)
