very nice! i like all the different versions of chatty, seems like he's the only one of the original 4 (beside pinhead, of course) that stuck around. it's cool to see your rendition of the "inferno" version.

I've mistakened Torso as another version of the Chatterer too, but it seems that he's not. A description from Hellraiser Online says:
"Possibly the most brutally altered human in all of the history of the cenobites surgical practices in the pursuit of perpetual pain and suffering. Conformed to mirror the image of his sadistic creator, 'Torso' walks the corridors of hell's dark labyrinth in search of his master, 'Chatterer.'"

aww, ok...they can say what they like. frankly, i consider the dog in pt 4 just another chatterer incarnation too. that's just me, though...i guess by my way of thinking, pt 3 would be the only one in the series without some form of him. i liked "hellbound" the best. which was your fav of the bunch?

I totally hate the cenobites in Hellraiser III. My fav is Hellbound too, perhaps followed by the original, Bloodline and Inferno.

right..i liked the story in 3, but the coenobites were sad. "like this guy's a bartender, lets make him a bartender coenobite! this one over here's a cameraman, what are we going to do with him?" at least there wasn't a dogcatcher at the bar that night. or a McD burger flipper-"we have such McSights to show you!! i will supersize your pain!!!"
anywaaay...
yeah, same here for preferences...i really disliked 6 (it was a crappy story rehash of 5, Kirsty or no), and while there were things i liked about 7&8, the story premises were lame...they were trying too hard to be "hip" i think...they came off as weak teen slasher flicks with 20 seconds of pinhead in them. it was cool seeing Lance Hendrickson in one, though.

I was hoping they'd put lance in the AVP sequel, but it doesn't look like they did. he should be featured more, he's one of the best in the horror/ sci fi fields.

Yes you're right, and hence its name "Torso".
However I didn't design this character, it's one of the cenobites from the fifth Hellraiser movie.
The link in my artist's comment shows the actual Torso in the movie, it ain't as scary as this for sure
