Description
Based off from this chart here:
Basically, I made a comment from this pic and I just had to make a pic of this.
My comment:
"Just when I thought having my main Guardian and Tundra breed almost look impossible with their size. Now I'm going to question how the hell does a Fae breed with an Imperial?! How will the parents explain this when their hatchling ask this question!?!"
All dragons belong to Flight Rising
The scorpion is me

If the smaller one was the dad, it would be pretty easy

Well since dragons lay eggs, the mother lays the egg and the father fertilizes them after they are laid. I think it similar to a lot of reptiles, birds and fish.

That's why in my head the size differences between the dragon breeds are not nearly as drastic.
I reject your reality and substitute my own!

I've heard some people think the dragons breed in the manner of salmon. Without the dying after bit of course. The female lays the eggs and the male fertilizes them. Either way, I feel so awkward when I pair some of my dragons now.

There was a version I really liked where the dragon parents fashioned the eggs by hand, and put their/their clan's magic into them, which also conveniently expalins why all dragons born in a certain clan are of the element of the clan, and all the eggs look a certain way. The size differences are huge, though! I sometimes wonder how all my imps keep from stepping on my poor snappers and skydancers.

Awwwwkward.Ā XDXDĀ Hmm...now I'm starting to question the logistics of my Guardian-Fae pair...Oh well, I'll just assume it's "magic" and leave it at that. XD

That's what I call awkward parent and children moment. I think I'm pretty sure that most parents have to go through this kind stage in their parenting life. Though I learned my in high school in biology class while my parents were just like "Nope! Wait until you're 30."

I never questioned the size difference until I saw that chart XD

Same here. I knew there were different sizes for each breed, but it never really hit me until the chart was made.Ā

Maybe they do it like fish? The female lays the eggs and then the male fertilizes them. If that isn't the case, I can see it being either very awkward and difficult(I used to bread a female fae with a guardian, she mush have been sat on by mistake cause they only gave me 2 eggs :U ), or very magical.

Oh now that is a theory I haven't heard. The fish breeding idea seems to be more convenient for smaller size dragons that have to breed with large size ones.Ā

Yeah, I think it'd work pretty well too

At least it sounds more logical than "Oh it's magic!"

That is very true, magic could mean anything happened XD

My theory was that when dragons make eggs, instead of doing it biologically they exchange magic, creating the eggs from their own energies/beings.

haha xD i'd be like
"yep... im leaving this to you to explain, cuz i am outta here"
xD
but looking at the size comparison chart made me question the breeding between my guardians and pearlcatchers xD

Magic. There's no actual kinky-times going on, it's just a whole lotta magic. Magic and love.Ā
That or they secretly go out and steal eggs from other's nests.Ā
Or maybe the courier dragons bring them. Like how the stork brings babies.Ā
