My dragon sketch for 's Dragon Dreamer packSkydancer
Personality: Gentle nature and sometimes playful. Likes to play and dance in the wind. Loves anything thatβs colorful and/or shiny, but has the tendency to take them and collect them.

This is basically a redraw of the dragon (or supposed to be one but doesn't look like one) from here [link] But its appearance changed so much that I decided to give a new name entirely to fit the #FlightRising game. I also decided to incorporate other features from my old dragon pictures [link] [link] The furry tail and neck hair came from them. I kinda like the furry tails for some reason.
I thought I did a pretty decent job sketching these guys out, but *neondragon made a sketch of her own to put into the game and I was like "Oh wow! It looks awesome!" Her sketch made mine look like nothing. (Scorpius02's self-confidence was lowered by 20%)

Oh my gosh, this is really great to see!Β I knew you'd designed these dragons but I didn't realize you had a dA page!Β I'd always wondered if that mane along the back of the neck and spine was fur/hair or downy feathers, and now I know!

I was checking out who the dragon-dreamer was as the site was down and I'm curious, and I've got to say; yeeeeeeees.
I love these, both yours and Neondragon's versions. I love how slender they look, very much in contrast with most of the other supposed-to-be slender-y species.
If these are released I'll definitely get these, they might be my favourites as of yet.

d'aw, you did a really good job getting the information down! And this dragon design fits well with the existing dragons while still being in contrast! I especially like the long skinny legs, because all the existing dragons on the site so far don't have that~! also the skinny beak/maw. : D thanks for, like, donating such a cool design.

Seeing how people were so supportive of the Skydancer idea, my self-confidence did managed to go back up a little. Still wished my drawing skills were as good as hers.

Hey hey, it takes time to get good at something! No one just woke up one morning and suddenly be good as something. Sucking is the first step of being good at something! Never stop doing the things you love. =3

neondragon is an amazing artist. She will turn this concept into something beautiful. And since your design is relatively simple, it leaves a lot of creativity up for her. This is a VERY good thing, since artists with a lot of rules are artists without creative drive.
The gem is a nice touch! They are also going to have a tertiary gem skin, and I bet it will look awesome with the original gem this dragon has (I am assuming the gem color will be a tertiary color)

Yes, the gem has no color rule. At first I was thinking of having it the color of the dragon's element, but then I thought people would rather have their own decision when coloring their gem, so I let the gem color open.
Also, *neondragon sent me her second sketch and it looked great, so I gave her the green light.

It's a lovely design! Delicate and elegant, but looks like it could hold its own. I love the antennae and the feather/membrane wing combination! I'm sure it's going to be a really fun addition to the Flight Rising word. I look forward to seeing it in game
