Would you consider sharing the ldd (or whichever program) file for him? I've been building an A4 for weeks and I can't get the angled part of the nose to fit correctly

Oh wow, first of all thank you very much! I've been to that location at least 5 times and just now realized that LXF file was there!
On another note, I've started work on my next project while Spencer is on hold, the Class 2P Locomotive from S&DJR

TBH, I feel that a rebuild to accommodate the BBB XL wheels would be better in keeping with the original geometry of the A4.

You're right! If I'd build the A4 I'd definitely use XL drivers to keep the proportions right. But LDD doesn't have them and to me MLCad is much harder to work with.
If you follow the link in the description you can see pictures of the engine in real bricks (with XL drivers!!!) from the guy who designed this beauty!

Still looks fantastic regardless. Have you thought of maybe getting some of those custom rods that a few users on bricklink are making? It would look much better than the technic pieces.

Haha, yes I know which rods you mean. I have often thought about it, but they're not cheap, so I want to order as many as I need at one time.
