Description A work in progress shot of Thomas. I think he's coming along nicely, I'm really proud of how I made the '1' on the side. I already have the blue wheels, but they'll be a bigger size than the wheels attached now Β and will look much better. Some parts still have the wrong colour and will be replaced in the end

It's looking a bit strange at the moment but I'm really happy to see a physical Thomas, way to go Nick ^^

I can't even imagine how much of a headache this is to build

Thanks
I don't like how it looks right now either but I know how the journey will end
And the real headache actually is to get all the parts rather than putting them together

Are you doing real proportions or show proportions?
Show proportions may look better in physical lego

I'm doing real proportions so in the end it will look similar to Hornby's version - like an E2.
I figured I wanted an engine that could go with other real engines without looking too strange. I've designed a show version before which you could build

Hornby use an engine which was similar to Thomas's base - he is suppose to be shorter ^^ the last actual Thomas body was scrap metal many years ago.

iv seen all your thomas stuff, been following you for almost a year

Well Hornby actually used Thomas' base: an LBSCR E2.
I'm not sure now but I think the illustrators of the books made him already shorter as W. Awdry's model isn't as short as Thomas is in the TV-Series.
