Description
A commission from a photograph I took myself at Badminton Horse Trials 2007,5 and a bit hours now with breaks
Ignore all the scribbing above the last part of the Grackle noseband, I'm plotting out where the highlights and main features of the face are going

As has been stated before me, your detail, particularly down near the nose is emmaculate and damned impressive. Work of that magnitude takes a great deal of skill, patience, and perhaps above all, ambition.
Great work so far, I'd love to see the finished piece

i can only imagine it when it is done. this is going to be a very nice drawing. already, i can see the great shading i love, lol. third question, since you're almost done here, it makes me wonder, how long does it take to draw you pictures for you?

Thank you!
It depends on the piece and how big it is, however generally it takes me anywhere from 4-8 hours to do a heapiece, depending on the detail needed.

This is simply amazing. I do not know what to say. You have real talent. I think it is interesting that you start from the muzzle, I usually start from the eyes (:

thankyou so much!
Its really strange i know, alot of people start at the eyes or ears or something.. i guess i start off with the nose and get an idea of the 'horses' personality, even on the paper.. i usually save the eye till last, so i can see into the soul of the horse im drawing from.. weird lol!

Hmm, you have a point there. I really don't know why I chose to start from the eyes. I think it's because they are the hardest for me to draw.
