I love these two samurai vs. dragon pictures. This is my favorite of the two, mainly because of the inclusion of a full scene and the background. It's cool how the dragon is coiled around the bridge, and the presentation here is awesome. Excellently done!

Why should he kill him? Poor dragon.
Beautiful art!

This is really awesome I like your idea and the way the dragon wrapped itself around the bridge!

Which one do you think is the Guardian? I haven't decided yet.

With the location of it, I would say the dragon is more likely to live there and guard the bridge.

Beautiful! It's not often I find a serpent that I find cool enough to add to my collection of dragon pictures!

I am with you on the preferring the european dragon with four legs and wings....but for some reason the serpents are really fun to paint.

My first pencil didn't have the whiskers but I thought I needed to make it more Asian dragon like.

More samurai! Rock on! I like the colors in this - the dragon is a beautiful contrast with the natural tones of the scenery. Also, the misty quality of the background really lets the dragon and the samurai stand out.

Appreciate your comments...I definitely was wrestling with the background so it was somewhat interesting...but not destracting to the main characters.

lol. Now if that samurai is killing that dragon then something is decidedly off. Huge beasty... and beautifulo

Agreed...the Samurai needs a miracle...like the bridge giving way.

Kudos to that guy. He'll need a lot of luck to get past that thing. Great job on the art and colors. They give the dragon a nice look.
