As I see no real point in not mentioning details: I've noticed the story structure seems somewhat parabolic in tone and details
1.) Character explains aspiration of being a performer and pirate (runs from audience due to stage fright and insecurity)
2.) A character violently attacks another (bully strikes protagonist)
3.) Character seeks mental refuge after traumatic event (goes to a fond childhood memory)
DIES AND HAS HIS SOUL ANCHORED TO A MACHINE
4.) Character seeks refuge after a traumatic event (repression and denial)
5.) A character violently attacks another (protagonist strikes bully and possibly kills him)
6.) Character explains aspirations of being a performer and being a pirate (Runs towards an "audience" due to eagerness and to fend off isolation)
