Description
This is version two of the previous -Ace of Wasps- card which had been altered (obviously) yet again. I’m not really finished with this, but do plan to send this to other deviants in the artful dodgers group [link] As part of one of the many collaboration projects found there. I've left plenty of room for additional things to be added by making cutsaround the edges of the wasp and the ace...these can be used to under lap other elements or left untouched. The lower left-hand corner has been burned (slightly) and a RFID tag from an old X-ray film cartridge was added...(the chip is actually still there and might be readable if i had te equipment) also if you look really closely, you’ll see a small devil behind the tag... (bonus points if you know where the devil (used here) came from) for those who want to know, the words scratched in the corner are a direct quote from Blade Runner ( which is one of the best movies ever made). The full quote can be found here: [link]

seems to be...not only is the art higher quality (dua) they seem more durable
(by their very nature and expense)...even more so the way i use them.

have you thought about trying this yourself? playing cards are fairly cheap
...if you can find used ones (yard or estate sales (or even ones someone might be throwing out) that are beat up or frayed a bit around the corners that's even better. even if you make a mistake, you can paste something over it...
this sort of thing helps me relax and think... i also have a lot of junk that needs to be used in some way to justify having it.

I think that would be neat to try, but don't count on it being posted on dA. If I like it enough, I might post it.
But I'll have to get my own cards. Mom would have a fit if I used hers in any way, shape or form like that.

that's what wallyworld and yard sales are for... some places you can find cards really cheap
might try looking at some party supply stores for multiple decks since experimentation means
making a lot of mistakes...and your feathered critters might get a hold of a few as well...

Heh, yes they -particuarly Colonel- have a tendency to shred things like that to bits. Next time we take the trip to lewistown ill see what i can find.

getting the card back in time might be difficult (if two or more of the birds are fighting over the card) but the results sound as if they would be rather unique...in a parrot/parrakeet(ish) sort of way.

Peanut would want to immediatly destroy the card, while Colonel would want to just play with it.
The parakeets would be terrified of it.

that would work pretty good as well... what about using image transfer techniques
or a hybrid of all of them?

Getting there. I'm getting over the shock that parents can be so insensive. My friend ~DrTripwyre 's parents made her stop coming on dA until shes older.

ooh, tricky ground there... there are areas of DA that can be a bit intense or graphic (i personally try to avoid those areas(not my thing)and have the firewalls and DA filters for
that. I might feel the same way, sure there are amazing things here on DA, and i've been inspired by what i've seen and i've made contact with truly creative artist (such as yourself) that i really enjoy communicating with. That being said, would i want my son (who'll be 11 this week and who lives 700 miles away) free access to DA and all the groups here...no. there has to be another way for you to interact with drtripwyre in the meintime...

its a way of drawing things on the screen but allows you to use painting and other techniques at the same time. If you are using progams like PS5 (photoshop5) you can do layers that you can move around or change without having to redraw everything over again... i can send you a few links if it would help.
