Description
This came together like many others i've worked on recently, i started with one idea and then half way through development went in another direction. i started out with the eye and the small tear in the upper right corner to expose the card underneath which was dyed and further destressed with a razor to add dark scratches. The words came from the back page of the ad which contained the eye and are not in the order that they were printed. I had separated the lines individually and began reading them out of context, then started moving them around and putting them with each other to see what worked. i considered adding a few dots to this in the form of a constellation (the big dipper to be exact) tilted to catch a tear escaping from the eye, but not sure if this card really needs any more...
