Description
this card formed slowly over the last few hours then came together at the last minute (happens a lot for me). Bit of a strange one perhaps...then again considering it ordinated from my brain, maybe not. A few things that might have influenced this one, starting with research earlier this evening on the iconic Battersea power station in England, (good luck following that tangent...directly related to the words on the card) The planet seen on the card is Mars but could easily be any other planet that just happens to be red...(watching The Chronicles of Riddick may have influenced that one). It has also rained most of the day and that usually puts me in a somber mood (unless thereβs a nice storm with lightning that i can photograph *grin*Related content

i really like the feel that this has been stuck in a wallet or lived a while where it was being beat up.

same here...not sure if my lucid moments really are lucid or if i'm just pretending to be that way to avoid the awkward social situations that overtly non-lucid events tend to cause.

and I think artists tend to train themselves to tap into that non lucid just go with it and do it state more than a lot of other groups of people.

agreed *grin* i will see something or hear something (or both at the same time that juxtapose these two senses (or others)in unusual ways that lead me down a tangent without a map of where i might be going...

Today was a day of connections going through all my torn out magazine pages and trying to figure out what goes with what. Mating frogs deep sea diver suite and so in. so very interesting to see what clicks together in my head.

pretty much the same process i use...i'll sit in the middle of the floor surrounded by the pages and start making seperate piles of the images that start talking to each other...if you do this as quickly as you can after waking up you will get some unlikely juxtopositions... i've also make piles according to theme or subject (accordion files are great for that) when you need an object and have an idea od what you are looking for this system saves a lot of time...when i work on collage,so many factors are involved it's hard to list them all but the collage itself tends to tell me how it wants take shape, even the sounds around me will influence what eventually manifests itself from glue and paper... it's all fairly organic...i have projects that i've been working on of and on for years (seriously) because i can't find the exact piece i am looking for...because i don't know what it might look like...i just know that when i see it i will know what it is and where it will fit.

It has a very unique and very implacable vibe. Which is a very good thing, I think.

That's the best way to do it.
