Nicely done, Scott! It looks quite intimidating and formidable without being too action figurish, it's more subtle which is why I think it's so successful. I wish it wasn't a vignette, as I think the right background would add a lot more to the impact.

I know what ya mean but vignette is what the client wants, so vignette is what they get
Anyway, I'm generally a bit crap at adding backgrounds.. a flaw I'm working on

he's a star spawn, does that means it's not Great Cthulhu himself but one of his kids?

Good question, I *think* it means that it's a kind of avatar of Cthulhu. Cthulhu is meant to be on this world and he has lots of these 'other hims' on other worlds/realms.
