First noticed the tilted head in the scrap version, somehow it's more obvious there. Still great though!

i really like the figure

and the chair alone would be cool

but all of em together just kinda clash..
dunno.. maybe it's supposed to be like that or that's just how the chair really was

overall though, still a kick ass image

most of that painting was made up, and the idea was that the skin was the only part painted with some sense of volume so that it give the painting and aakward feeling to induce an uncofortable feeling in the viewer

Wonderful work; I think the chair looks a little flat. It helps to make the figure stand out with its increased detail and work, but the chair seems to stand out the most to me...

the chair is painted flat on purpose, i oly used the contour to give a hint of shape

i dunno why but i feel this one looks like there's some physical problem with the person sittin on the chair.
and i have another comment, the red chair with the motifs ... is so seperated from the composition. style wise/ and color wise

i dont feel comfortable with this painting.
thats my personal openion

the torso is shortened in the chair a little bit to give off an uncomfortable feeling, as for the chair its all just flat colors using the pattern to make the shape its a nood to both sheilies and klimts paintings, thanks for the honest criq though

Ooh I like this one! Kinda reminds me of the color concepts of Van Gogh and Mary Cassatt kinda incorporated together; but nontheless still distinctive to your style.

*GASP* oh dear. I'm sorry to use such a silly introduction, but this is beautiful, and i actually did gasp in real life.

Immediate favourite. Are you inspired by anything specific? Nabi's? Fauvism? Anything?

Oh my, this is lovely. Such a mood, and such confident colours. They're here and they want you to know it. The blue colour reflection is subtle, yet prominent, and I like that. Great patterns too, and the design elements are flawless. I like the contrast between colour blocking in the room & clothes, v.s shading in the skin. Sort of reminds me of Klimt's idea that we are all sort of caught up in the fabric of society, and there is little room for the individual. Great piece. My favourite in your gallery for sure. Your painting style is mesmerizing (sp?). I am so impressed.

thanks, im inspired by way to much to even begin to write down, but everything you ve mentioned is what i was trying to acomplish in this painting, it is inspired by the klimt ladyin chair painting which in turn inspired the sheile guy in chair painting
