This drawing is a portrait of Sam Trammel as "Sam Merlotte"from the HBO series True BloodI did this drawing as a practice sketch, It has been a while since I have drawn much of anything and I felt that my skills were a little rusty
size 8 1/2" x 16 1/2"
drawn with prismacolor colored pencils, graphite No2 pencil, with india ink and white acrylic highlights on Strathmore colord paper.
True Blood and all related characters and properties are copyrighted by HBO

I've become a fan of True Blood very, very recently.
I find it rather odd that the first piece of "True Blood" fanart I comment on is a portrait of Sam instead of, oh, I don't know, someone with fangs, but honestly...
If this - THIS! - is what you do when you're rusty, then I can officially say you have way too much talent. One single person can't be that good, it's just physically impossible. If you could bottle some of your skill and sell it, you'd make billions and still have plenty left.

good freaking lord, man. you have got to be one of the best artist i've seen with people and color. The likeness is amazing.
