an Update for my drawing based on the BBC series "Merlin"here I have finished the under drawing and have added in addition to the portrait of Merlin (Colin Morgan) a portrait of King Arthur (Bradley James) as well as Kilgharrah the Dragon and just a hint of the Castle of Camelot
The next step will be adding colors
drawn with No.2 graphite pencil, 2hb Charcoal pencil and white charcoal and prismacolor highlights. Drawn on Strathmore colored paper
Merlin and all related characters and properties (including the reference photos used) are copyrighted by the BBC

I havent tried any other color but gray is my favorite too. I think i want to try mustard yellow paper and pastels but I just havent had time.
