I honestly never thought I'd want to join a pony group (and especially not make an oc offspring of canon chars) but here I am doing it oops.

Hnng this boy was piece of work to design and name but I like him (still iffy on the name but it was the best I could come up with).

~Basic Information~Name: Shuffling Strut
Nicknames: Shuffles, Struts
Gender: Male

Home: Ponyville

Appearance: A butter-yellow colt with a curly purple mane and tail. He has cloven hooves. His cutie mark is an image of three tap shoes.
Talent: He is an excellent tap-dancer. He sometimes uses it to communicate with others, although they don't understand the majority of the time.
Element of Disharmony: Scandal
Sexuality: Pansexual (anyone is fine)
Build: He inherited Fluttershy's ganglier build (if you watch the episode in S1 when the mane six got their cutie marks, flutters was much taller than the others), so he is tall, thin and graceful. This makes it harder for him to fly, however, as it makes it more difficult to keep his tall body up in the air.

IMPORTANT: Shuffling Strut was born mute (he is physically incapable of speech, laughter, screaming, etc.). He doesn't want to carry around something to write with because he thinks it's too much trouble. He tries to communicate through gestures and facial expressions. When displeased/huffy he often snorts through his nostrils (like real horses). Sometimes he tries to tap-dance to get a point across, but usually this doesn't work.

PERSONALITY: Shuffling Strut is rather cheerful, if easily frustrated when others don't understand him. He is quite observant since he doesn't spend time speaking, as well as quick-witted. He is vain and fussy about his appearance, leading him to be a tad prissy/difficult to work with in certain situations (if asked to walk somewhere muddy for instance, even if something important is at stake, he may snort and give you a disgusted look to convey "you want me to go through that!?!"). Since his mother wasn't exactly a fast/athletic flyer and his other mother was a unicorn, he spent most of his time on the ground or hovering, and therefore doesn't have much practice in the flying department. He prefers to stay on the ground anyway, exploring the forests or wandering the town. He has interest in both fashion design and nature, but his true passion is tap dancing. He is also skilled at various other types of dance.

Shuffles is sort of sassy, often making his own kind of smart remarks to others, although these are usually more playful than mean-spirited. He can also be incredibly flirty (both with close friends and new acquaintances), brushing up against others or making certain facial expressions to hint at his meaning (For close friends, this doesn't always mean he wants to hook up. In those instances it's just playful teasing to get a reaction out of them, be it angry or embarrassed). He doesn't know if he wants a long-term relationship at the moment, so he's quite happy experimenting for now.

He enjoys juicy gossip and scandal in general (he probably got this from Rarity, although she wouldn't be happy if he took it too far), and has been known to cause trouble by flirting with a pony's signifigant other or otherwise stirring up distrust/jealousy between previously happy couples for his own amusement. He also has a tendency to spread rumours through writing (you can't tell if someone's lying by their hoofwriting alone after all, and he doesn't have to worry about people picking up on voice cues).

Despite others' initial impression of him often being that he's self-centered and too busy joking to be of use, he's actually quite helpful and would do anything for his friends, even if he may protest playfully at first.

Before Shuffles was Born: (I'm actually going to write out a multi-chapter fanfic for this section of time detailing from when they first confessed their feelings TO ADORABLE WEDDINGS HNNG all the way up to the birth of this handsome young colt)!

Fluttershy is the birth mother, although Rarity was incredibly worried and wanted to do it instead because childbirth is heLLa painful geez and poor Flutters isn't really great with pain. But Fluttershy is more experienced with taking care of life and she wanted to be the mother really badly and be brave for once in her life and bring their beloved child into the world. ("And besides, just think of what a colt would do to your figure, Rarity! You wouldn't want that, would you?") How could the white unicorn say no to that?

Family Life: He has lived in Fluttershy's cottage since he was born. They decided together that it would be best to raise their son there, as there was more room and Rarity still had to work during the day, leaving the home-mothering to Fluttershy. Rarity would still visit everyday and often spent the night, or on occasion Flutters and Shuffles would spend the night with Rarity at her home/boutique. Shuffling Strut still happily lives with Fluttershy, although he does plan on moving out in a few years once he saves up and figures out where he wants to go. Now that he's 18 and therefore technically an adult, Rarity takes him out business trips out of Ponyville once in a while, letting him explore and wander while she works on her fashion designs, or he helps her out. The three of them are still very close and do lots of family activities together.

John "Gear" Hooves (earth pony, colt) - He's a bit unobservant when he's busy sticking his nose in those history books, but he seems rather interesting. It's quite amusing to see him embarrassed, haha! Perhaps once we get to know each other better I could consider him a friend...
