So they don't get out there and kill others, rather than keeping them in a cell

We kill them because we are afraid of them and we tell people so we can control them with fear

well yes and no in my research i out that in the eyes of the law killing and murder are seen as to different things. as and example one might kill some one in self defense and not thought out or planned murder, or someone might kill some one with their car not on purpose though, Murder is seen in the eyes of court as a intellectual or planned out death of another person, so what this saying should say is we kill people to show that murdering people is wrong

I don't know... I think, that's not the right way. If you kill a murderer than you're also a murderer! So you are not better then a killer. Everyone should have a second chance.
I think, someone who can't give a life is not entitled to take it away!

Even if they kill for fun do they deserve a second chance?

LupaSola In reply to InvaderCarrot [2011-08-16 18:12:17 +0000 UTC]
Well... if they kill for fun and you know they will never stop killing innocent people... hmpf... I guess... I could look away.
But, to be honest: What is worse? To be killed and a kind of "released" or to be a prisoner for the rest of your life? I guess this is a question, you can't answer that easy. In my oppinion it's still a life, which was taken away.

so true. um, the person that kills the killer is only going to kill one person, whereas the killer (that has just been killed) would kill many people. is that the answer?

Because. Its human nature. We evolved from teritorial animals that only had one goal: survival. Killing the killers is a way to stay alive, and to prevent other killers from rising. If the killers are dead, they can't kill you. And if you killed them, you are dominant ove their kind, because you bested them. This teaches the other would be killers that if they kill, then you will kill them. At their core, they will only stop or not kill to survive.

I donΒ΄t understand this too, but IΒ΄m happy that iΒ΄m german and we donΒ΄t kill people, who killed people.
But IΒ΄m afraid that this could happen ... that the german politicians can think, that killing killers is right

Because by killing people, people who kill people die. And yet, people who kill the people who kill people are born, until they are killed by people who kill people to kill people.

If a human being destroys another and are destroyed because of it, who will destroy the one who destroyed the destroyer? And in what way does this seem justified? Death should not equal death. I believe rehabilitation is in order, not jailing or murder.
I've often wondered this question, and I believe it has to do with fear. Not justice, justice viewed on it's deepest levels is naught but revenge anyways. Fear, revenge and hatred dictate this cycle. this question is one of the fundamental flaws of humanity. It's human nature, which needs to be extensively revised to fit with the times and technology. The current mode of thinking is extremely dentrimental to our species.

couldnt have said it better and it makes since, it really is a good question, i guess to show people that when you kill people you get it back sort of like an eye for an eye type thing and to scare people to try to get them to not do it...that's just what i think

because people know that the person who killed all the people is right bout it being wrong, so the person is just being proven right by the people killing them, because they think that its wrong but they do it anyway...
kinda contradictory if u ask me
