I've always wanted a house like this. They remind me of the books I used to read as a child.

-my favorite book as a kid was Mistress Masham's Repose. The main character lived on a massive dilapidated estate, all terribly gothic and run down.
You see these modern suburban cubicles and think who, if anyone, remembers the house they were born fondly?
Come to think of it, I ought to post a pic of the old farmhouse I was raised in... time for a snoop in the hard drive.

The house in which I was born was quite the eyesore, along with all the others on that block. Hideous, square and concrete with a tiny front garden boxed in with a concrete wall. Thankfully I moved away from there.
I would love to live in a farmhouse (minus the animals due to allergies)or a cabin next to a woods.
