Years ago, I was once asked to draw a group of people for social media. I told them no because my skills weren't that great yet. I absolutely knew I was going to fail..my skills were not that developed yet. My human drawings were absolute crud. I was drawing good anthro, animal humanoids, and monsters. It's been nearly a decade and I found out the people I was suppose to be drawing hadn't forgiven me for not being able to accomplish that objective. The animosity was mild...and some how I am still "good friends" with these people, but I am not as close with them. It's like one of those glaring cracks in an ever distancing friendship.
In the grand scheme of things this was suppose to be a small thing, forgotten, and healed by time. Then I get a reminder and the head of that social media team shows me that some young girl easily accomplished making cartoony avatars for his group. Currently I don't care.. but I feel some kind of way that this subject was brought up again... years later..
So this year instead of resolutions for the gym, eating better fad diets, I have decided to start reassessing my personal boundaries, friendships, and the type of people Iallow in my life. I really am getting too old and life just feels too short to deal with people that don't take no for an answer and don't let it go.
Lastly here is the cartoon version of the guy I was suppose to draw.. I did it now that I have been improving my hoomie drawing skillz. Going to put this guy in one of my horror stories so he can be finished off in one of the worst ways possible.
