I really want to play Journey.My sister and I were (are?) working on a mini collab. with two of the nomads. I'll make a background...eventually.
Also all my grump. I can't seem to figure out how to save as a gif with more vibrant colors D; The original colors (seen in the preview image), have more reds in them.
colors look fine on other computers so I'm just a derp

I love this picture so much. I used it as a reference picture for my miniature contest entry this year, last semester. I didn't win, but I did get a feeling of accomplishment for finishing it. I haven't uploaded it, but I think it is really good. I'm glad that this picture exists, or I would have been the saddest of pandas. Love this picture!

reason I did mine in flat color because there's otherwise too much going on. The silhouette tells the story enough though.

eee thank you. I haven't been pixeling as often as I'd like and I dither even less (this is probably my second or third time I've made an honest dithering attempt). The red and yellow feel more deserty to me and seem to fit the atmosphere of the game more, but I still love the white and gold combo. Both are pretty ;u;

the white one feels more "holy", you know? even the trophy you receive when you get the white rob is called "transcendence". i'd use the red one more often if its scarf recharged like the white one's/

I think it was a great idea on the creators' part to keep the gold embroidery and then alter the actual cloak color. The color combos work beautifully with the game's color scheme and I really dig the references to divinity/reincarnation.

Are you using photoshop to save your gifs? If so, when you're in the "save for web and devices" you might want to mess around with the settings there? Maybe up the amount of colors used?

strike that. It's photoshop itself. I reopened the gif and it's as shiny as the original psd that's still open. Weird.

Tried that. Max color setting and it's still washed out (same for png). I'm wondering if it's just in the nature of the gif color palette. 256 colors (or whatever the number) probably doesn't cover all the shades and hues and I'm just lucky enough to pick colors between what it has??
