Description
I'm not sure I should be putting this up here as it's just a first attempt, but any tips or tricks on how to go about doing hdr would be greatly appreciated. This was processed in photomatix pro, but the camera I was using doesn't do auto-braketing in increments of 2, so the exposure values of the three photos used were -1,0 and +1, instead of the -2 to +2 range which most people use.Any information on how to reduce noise either in taking the original photo or in processing would also be very helpful.

Reducing the ISO to say 100 would reduce some noise but if the noise is a result of photomatix processing then the best way to get rid of it is with dedicated noise reduction software, I use Imagenomic noiseware but others that I've heard are good are NeatImage, Noise Ninja and Lightrooms noise reduction feature.
The problem is using it on an image such as this you will loose a lot of the detail in the trees which the HDR has brought out, so in that situation I would use a layer mask to selectively reduce the noise where I wanted.

Thanks a lot! Ive tried some more with lower ISO which seems to have worked in reducing noise. I'll take a lot at the other software as well though!
