Description ~Dirty~

He wanted one taste
Flesh of dry wine summer fruit
Sins of a good man

Dark eyes held their gaze
Expression that made him weak
Beautiful theory

Shockingly returned
Spoiled for the lover he took
At their beck and call

Maybe he believed
It was real for the first time
Walked away again

Start over again
He wanted another taste
Promise addiction

Opened up for him
They carried the guilt for him
For another taste

This is so good...reminds me of Dickinson.  Keep up the great work  For example a Dickinson poem would be short lines and stanzas...complex ones at that For example she wrote this

The morns are meeker than they were -

The morns are meeker than they were -

The nuts are getting brown -

The berry’s cheek is plumper -

The rose is out of town.

The maple wears a gayer scarf -

The field a scarlet gown -

    Lest I sh'd be old-fashioned

    I’ll put a trinket on.

Its really neat to find a more Gothic modern day version of her on here  You have talent.  Keep writing.  And as writers we write from experience....always remember that

I do enjoy it...but sorry about your rough times... it's unfortunate sometimes the best stuff comes from those instead of good ones... i like the terse...stripped down form of it.. it feels like what Hemingway would sound like if he wrote poetry

You're not the first to say that I write similar to Hemingway, so I appreciate that. I'll note you about these rough times. Thank you for the comment.

This is what I mean by Bukowski and it's one of my favorite poems it isn't the full poem but youll get the point.  Google for the entire thing

“I will remember the kisses
our lips raw with love
and how you gave me
everything you had
and how I
offered you what was left of
me,
and I will remember your small room
the feel of you
the light in the window
your records
your books
our morning coffee
our noons our nights
our bodies spilled together
sleeping
the tiny flowing currents
immediate and forever
your leg my leg
your arm my arm
your smile and the warmth
of you
who made me laugh
again.”
― Charles Bukowski
