~Ghosts and Closure~

Danced with the ghost of a memory,
Sometimes I forgot how to breathe,
I never got better,
And you should stop,

What was alluded to, I couldn't say,
You had everything saved up but it was too late,
Ghosts breathe settling dust,
Moaned callings in the night,

All this time you had been beating yourself up because you couldn't save the world,
Lamented what man had already taken away,
What lies under all that worry,
Is the way of the future,

Took loneliness by his hair and cut his throat,
Opened him up and lived inside him,
Until someone came to find you,
Or until he decayed,

Where there was once declarations of love mingling,
There was dust and coping,
You couldn't hide under loneliness anymore,
You stirred and I breathed, taking some of you with me,

We won't make promises we know we can't keep,
Just holding the light for each other,
Wandering an endless void is so much better,
Than being confined by life's limits.
