I've caught you in your own lie like a spider traps a fly in its web,
Lips upon skin, whisper confessions and praise in our late night melancholia,
The welcome mat has been laid out, just make sure you close the door,

You're never shy when it comes to asking for what you want,
Lately, you don't have to much to say,
What are you thinking behind that scheming face?

I'm trying to look forward to tomorrow knowing it all comes back to haunt me,
I've had this craving all day and I'm looking for something sweet,
There's no satisfaction until we've reached excess,

You're always coming around with your tongue pressed to your teeth like you're waiting,
Either to cuss at me or bite at me,
I'm ready to live the stories I'll be able to tell,

Call me when you've had enough,
I just need some time to make you forget what you were mad about,
Nonchalant, crawling out of my fire and into your cool,

I've known all along but I wish you would just say it,
We don't have to pretend that we're feeling ashamed,
That old act never fooled anyone.
