I'm currently working on a novel set in India, circa 5000 B.C.
Inspired by the many Houses and their sigils imagined by George Martin and their illustrations by user LiquidSoulDesign, I'm trying out similar symbols/banners for the dynasties and groups in my novel.

This is the Bhargava dynasty, descended from the Rishi Bhrigu. This is the family of Markandeya, Jamadagni, Parsurama and many more. For their sigil I've chosen a simple white cow on a field of brown. The words tell their ancestry and their deeds.
