I'm currently working on a novel set in India, circa 5000 B.C.
Inspired by the many Houses and their sigils imagined by George Martin and their illustrations by user LiquidSoulDesign, I'm trying out similar symbols/banners for the dynasties and groups in my novel.

This is the Saptarishi. Their banner, easily enough, is the Big Dipper Asterism against a starry background. For their words, I've chosen a shloka from the Brihadaranyak Upanishad that enlists the seven Rishis of this Manvantara.
