Description
So here we are again with another concept. This time, looking into the future... Much of the inspiration from this concept come from Office 2013, as well as my previous mock-ups. Also, this mock-up found on The Verge forums. This concept would allow users to customize the way their File Explorer looks, much like Office 2013's and Zune's (desktop application) preset themes. Enjoy. Background wallpaper can by found here .

Purely conceptual.
The rumor is that Windows will have a more rapid upgrade schedule than prior versions with significant incremental updates between releases. "Windows Blue" appears to be the code name for the first major update post-general availability, sometime next year. Whether or not this is Service Pack 1 (SP1) or a Windows Phone-esque feature update is still unknown. However, I believe Windows 9 is already in development and may come sometime late 2014.

Windows 8 Was in development before windows 7 was released, I don't blame you for saying that Microsoft would be working on the next windows version, Windows 8 Is now downloadable via MSDN and Technet, Im using my subscription to use it xD

Yep, Microsoft typically starts work on the next version of Windows before the current version has hit general availability. That's probably to avoid "feature-creep" like what had plagued Longhorn's development until the whole project was rebooted. Gotta draw the line somewhere. Admittedly, I downloaded the leaked RTM so, I'm just waiting to get my key from DreamSpark on the 25th so I can activate it. Also, there's some legit rearm tricks available that I can get by on until that date. Once in a while, I do get a notification to activate and that's about it.
