The newly reincarnated Peter, Hank, Emma, Logan, Kitty, and Scott in the center.Whew, have I got a rant on X-men. First off, I'm thankful for Joss Whedon writing Astonishing X-men...If only to remind me of the X-men that I used read when I was 12 years old. Somewhere between then and now they got lost, diverted, reincarnated, reinvented, killed off, reimagined, spoofed, spoiled, splintered, and generally just mishmashed (thanks, Claremont!) until they just didn't matter that much anymore. Like Twisted Toyfare said, Mutants just think the world revolves around them....Or at least the Marvel Universe revolves around them....Anyway, Whedon's take on X-men was a breath of fresh (albeit mutated) air.
Ah, but meanwhile...Jamce did the original line art here featuring the new team, and I provided color. Aside from a few line issues, and Kitty being questionably close to Peter's metallic crotch, this was a ton of fun to color. Check out Jamce's original - [link]

Man, them be some shiny mutants. It works really well for the subject and the style, it's a very comic-book touch.
I'm envious of your coloring, as always, your skill with furs and highlighting really came out on this.

Ok, hmm...knowing you, I think I can replace "hate" with "love", or, maybe "strongly repulse, and yet begrudgingly respect and appreciate for masculine attributes and artistic capability or attempt to attain thereof"....
But all that aside...what would you like to know, beyond the more obvious 1) take one LINE ART, and 2) apply color liberally...?
