Description
Cathedral Cove, Coromandel, New Zealand. Not the actual cove but the north side of the beach that runs through it. This was taken at 6.18am on just another one of NZ's usual bastard hot summer days, could already start to feel the UV trying to burn.

Thanks. Now it works - great picture! It's an error caused by dA - don't know why.

Yeah went for a drive up the peninsula on new years with a matress in my car and slept in a carpark at Hahei. I walked down to Cathedral Cove but I left before sunset and drove back to Hahei beach because I didn't want to walk back through that bush by myself in the dark but the sunset on Hahei beach was way better than the sunrise at Cathedral the next morning. When you went was there a big sign saying 'DOC warns visitors NOT TO ENTER due to falling rocks'?
Well it's far enough to drive to get a numb ass, but yeah it's only about 3 hours away. I should be going back with my big bro some time this year and we'll camp on the beach so I can shoot sunset and sunrise, and I'll try some shots that aren't so tight at the top, hopefully the tide will wash away all those footprints as well, they really limit the compositions aye.

No sign like that... we passed plenty of signs saying not to camp with a tent and mattresses in our arms!
Yeah have fun up there man! The beach is so popular, it can be annoying sometimes
