Description
The wind grabbed and played with and ran invisible fingers through Splash's mane and tail as he darted off towards the Amberwood. But as he went his feet slid out from under him and he splashed into the stream in spite of the his attempts to stay dry. He skidded to a halt at the edge of the thickening wall of dying trees and he peered up into the sky. Right before his eyes, the clouds opened up, and the rain began pouring down on him. Soaked and cold, he turned around and looked for the other horses, but they had somehow squeezed their way into the trees. He shook out his wet mane, splashing water against his face, and turned to get into the trees but their dark and leering grasp intimidated him, and he backed again into the merciless rain. He whinnied once to see if one of the other horses might join him but he got no reply and had to assume they didn't hear him. So he stood there, his coat becoming glossy from the water, and he watched the rain as it came down upon him.
