EnglishThe idea for this illustration was to make a retro robot on the surface of the moon. While I was working on it I found out that it wasn't interesting enough so the original illustration ended up as the reflection on the cosmonaut's helmet.

La idea para esta ilustración era hacer un robot retro en la superficie de la luna. Mientras trabajaba en eso me dí cuenta que no era muy interesante así que la ilustración original terminó siendo un reflejo en el casco del cosmonauta.

because, and this is a very personal opinion, I believe that is the point of art, to let you make things that are not real, to show fantastic things, or even impossible ones. The suit is not a cosmonaut's either, it's an Astronaut's, but that didn't seem to bother you. Other people felt like me naming him "Gagarin" worked as an homage, other people just enjoyed it. It all depends on the eye of the beholder.

Your mastery of the digital medium blows my mind. I honestly have no idea how you can reach such quality (and I tried a tablet, and I found I didn't stand a chance with it).
I remember seeing a (fake) photo like this with an alien in reflection, probably a classic. It is a striking composition. Awesome work!

It takes longer to do the illustration, but I'm used to the mouse, plus I find working on Mac with a mouse is more precise than the PC (I have both)
