I was using the good ol' first panel of Changelings 10 to experiment again (I know, I always use this one panel, but darn it, it's proven to be a good scene for experiments such as this).

This time I'm giving texturing another go, but instead of the pencil sketchy look I experimented with for awhile, I'm going for something a bit more artistic this time, hopefully so to give the art some more "pop." If I can get something to work, I'd like to apply it to the still forthcoming "Changelings" reboot (which I know I haven't posted anything new on that in awhile, but work on that is still ongoing, rest assured).

Here we have four different takes on the same texturing idea, trying to work out how "intense" I'd like the effect to be overall. I'm thinking I probably don't want it as "intense" as the flat-out texture shown in the first example, but I haven't figure out how much less "intense" from that I want it just yet, hence the three others. Probably going to have to do some more experimenting with it still, and probably try it again at some point with more layering, but for now, I would greatly encourage comments about which one you think works best here, as it'll help me narrow down which one is working best.

I had tried to do another texturing effect that had a more watercolor vibe to it (because I do like watercolors), but I just wasn't getting that one to work effectively.
