Okay, so here's a sketch that I've been working on off and on for awhile now, and was a pic that started out simple, but then quickly expanded from that into a much more complicated pic.

Originally, it started out as just a sketch of Darkwing, using a common pose he was advertised with as a reference. But he turned out so dang good that I figured he deserved a dang good background to go with it. So I drew the tower, then the view of St. Canard referring to actual episode material, inked it, scanned it in to my computer, then started coloring it. And with that, I just started slowly getting more and more detailed, experimenting, and trying new coloring tactics that I hadn't tried before, a lot of which worked out nicely.

Then, to top it all off, I shaded it as well, something that's still fairly new for me.

The end result is this actually rather unusually detailed pic from me, which I think, in the long run, no one is going to complain about.

Besides, I learned a few things through my trial-and-error method that I will now most likely apply to future pictures.

Due to how the pic kept expanding bigger and bigger, and originally wasn't intended to have a background, DW's posturing doesn't quite match with the background, but that's really the only big problem I see.
