You have no idea how long I've been waiting to draw my characters this way. There were several times where I would've preferred to place a Monsaru instead of a robot monkey.This was just practice. I like to draw regularly so I don't lose what I've trained myself. Unfortunately after I've drawn a picture that might take up to six hours or more I take a break that's about a day or two long, but then sometimes I hardly get a chance, which becomes uncomfortable, so I find myself drawing on anything blank.
I've been debating how much generic art I may continue to post. Thought about retracting my submissions and being less active, (which will come about anyway while I'm busy) but the fact I rely on feedback and the knowing that people have access to my work helps me make more. I wouldn't like to draw as much as I do and not show it to anyone in the end. For all the time I've spent on DA it has helped encourage me to do more and as long as I don't have a real job to distract me I think I'll keep posting away whatever gets cooked up. I have more than 400 deviations posted in the past 5 years and without Deviantart or Fanart-Central I probably wouldn't have progressed this far, let alone created my first original characters. DA has a lot of crap art and I hear many professional artists make fun of this site but I still enjoy it and even though I do waste my time drawing useless things like this I stay in "shape", get practiced, get noticed and feel relaxed.
Razor is so adorable, though this isn't a couple picture as Ebony doesn't particularly enjoy being in the same photo with him. Poor Ebony, I have no sense of fashion. Razor is currently not in trouble with clothes because this is all he wears. Yes, he prefers to be shirtless.

I used Wordpress as a template with a little Dreamweaver CS5 for some added coding effects, a hosting site provided by my uncle for a discount and lots of guidance from my uncle. If you want to build a personal website keep in mind you have to pay for the space and it is for a limited amount of time before you must pay again. My site will only last 3 years before I need to make another payment.

desiremint.com There are many to choose from though, I hear a lot about godaddy.com. The hosting site doesn't matter, that's just who you pay for the web space.

I left it off to show they aren't mechanical arms anymore. I want to get as far from robot monkeys as I can, so my characters are pretty much organic.

That was a good choice ^^ I was wondering about that... If you do get this published, some people might ask questions as to why the two have similar characteristics. I really like the organic forearms, though. Mah preferance.

Well Ciro can't copyright monkey mouths, faces or robot monkeys but he (or Jetix' owner) can copyright his way of drawing them. I don't think I'd be sued at this point because the only bare similarity now is the nose or mouth which isn't something significant enough to sue. If you haven't noticed everything else was designed by me. Currently I'm not publishing this in print because so many people use the internet now.
No mechanical parts, no skeleton king or intergalactic space travel with a human boy, no five monkeys that are 3 feet tall. I think I'm in the clear. x)

Awww, this is really nicely done and I like their expressions <3 specially Ebony's shes just like 'ugh..' XD I am really liking these designs, I like Ebony's hair. Its purple and I wan t to stroke it XD

Because they aren't. I mentioned earlier that all the metal comes off, (excluding Razor's tail). The metal forearms are gauntlets now. It was too much like everyone's anthro robot monkey to leave the arms mechanical.
But Razor wears his helmet most of the time because I don't like his head without it.

Original? What part of anything I've designed for them is truly original? I'm retelling classic themes, using old ideas from srmthfg and from whatever other things that I've seen from movies, books, people and what not. I haven't created a brand new idea or design but that's not of real importance to creativity.
I have taken these ideas and fashioned them into a new combination that I put together and so what makes my work original is how I creatively recreate what has already been done.
Your last comment concerned me that you viewed originality as a brand new untouched idea. I may be wrong or misunderstood what you meant so I hope I don't sound curt. I only intended to explain my view.

It's because most people would make the arm metal attached and irremovable unlike yours, you're story isn't what most people could think of, the helmet idea was something I never seen before(even if you did took that all out of some other ideas, it mixes well with the story. I did said that before).
I meant original because you were able to make something that not many others could think of, either a combination of 2 other ideas to make something better or from your own imagination.
besides, Writers combine ideas all the time and gets them ideas from other items or something from their life to make another story/movie

It's good to know you can show us your charaters this way which only show us how much they have evolved and changed for better.
What I like the most is the anatomy you can already draw, I mean, just look at them and how amazing they look in your own very style, Anastasia. Razor will be always Razor and he'll always look kick ass.
I can't wait to read your novel so I can give you proper feed back on it, I'm sure I'll enjoy it as much as this picture~ Keep up the good work.
