Started animating last week taking about 4 hours or so just to make the skeleton move properly (Sticks and blobs for circles). I've never done a run cycle, but after getting pissed at how terrible the walking was I did this instead. I had no reference, but intended to look at the clip of Nova running; however after searching through several episodes I got bored and used my memory instead. I've spent perhaps a solid 8 hours or so total... that's unacceptable. I can't be an animator if I take this long to do the basic movements.

This wasn't the animation of Razor that I intended... hoped to do something a little more interesting, but I haven't animated for 2 years so I'm a bit out of touch. (Reason being how damn long it takes)

He's particularly rough around the body and his limbs are a bit troublesome. (Had to watch myself walk to understand how things work) He kicks too hard with his back legs for the speed he's going and his tail kept shrinking as it touched down. I used onion skins and other methods to try and help the size issue, but it happened anyway. I made him look back, blink and open his mouth to make his face more entertaining since running is pretty dull if you didn't make it. (Scrolling him all over the place is fun though, it's like he's dancing.)

Threw a background and motion tweening in there to reteach myself how to use that action, but decided to ignore the option of using action script to keep the animation playing. If you don't have Firefox, the animation is probably going to stop instead of repeating. I have other things to work on, so moving on.
