Description Probably shouldn't put text in there, but the space was a bit empty. This is another concept suggestion. (Thanks everyone!)

I've seen one too many wolves and wolf furries drawn the same way. It's not that I don't like the art, some are quite beautiful and well drawn, but I honestly can't tell the difference between one artist's rendition to another. This was my first attempt at taking an overused idea and making it different. Dire wolves are initially just really big, but I'm unsure where the spikes and horns started catching on. (I love spikes, however I couldn't turn it into a cactus. ) I should push the design more since I added spikes and horns but I liked the style on it. Hopefully it helps.

This one has no concept art posted because they turned out very generic. I may post it eventually if I get a better design out of this one.

this is an amazing design!! Kinda make me think of a mix between my demon dog breed and Luna Wolf Breed lol

Dudette! If this was an actual mythical creature I would have payed more attention in class. Looks like a mix between Nordic and Central African mythology. Calming and wise in the very first picture but the one in the middle suggests a predator in there as well.

It is supposed to be a spirit of the dead, although I wanted it to look more gentle than ferocious. I see it as being a Shepherd of sorts, taking good souls to their final resting place, however wicked spirits will not be brought to rest. Instead, for them the dire should be feared. Maybe it should have a double image to it in which the eye of the person shall see either the gentle spirit or an ominous entity waiting to drag them to a place of suffering.

The gentle stylized version has no mouth, but the other should.

And here I thought this was simply another picture to you. You just made up an alternative to what is to come in the afterlife.

When I get closer to a design for a character they start speaking to me. (In a way) All my characters have some purpose behind them, they're not just pictures. They all get some love.

I can only imagine all of the fun stories you have there. One of these days when I have the time I'll be sure to spam around you gallery asking for the stories.

xD Most probably they'll only be background stories, if even that.

Nicely done. I especially love the horns, the eyes, the blue jewel on the forehead and the purple fire. My favorite happens to be the one on the far side.

It's the side view without flames. I think the entity should be able to activate the fire when needed.

Hmm, yes. That would make sense.
