Description Mortigore: little more than a heap of miscellaneous meat and entrails surrounding a large skull, the appearance of these crawling zombies belies their effectiveness in battle. They are strong enough to wield weapons and their semiliquid form makes them difficult to wound. Mortigore can incorporate the blood and flesh of prey into their own mass.

Exovoros: large, bizarre and terrifying, proximity to the Exovoros can cause severe radiation poisoning, and its high-pitched "laughter" induces an uncontrollable sense of panic. It is the trademark monster of a deranged cult that worships ancient, alien demigods.

Orifice: this bulky eating machine is surprisingly lightweight, its body being mostly hollow. The massive jaws open directly into the cavernous stomach, where toxic secretions render prey numb and unconcious. When not eating or fighting, Orifice are incredibly lazy.

Hellcrab: obsessed and highly skilled with blades of every sort - including their own needle pincer-arms - Hellcrabs make excellent surgeons, torturers, and chefs...all interchangeable in the city of Mortasheen. These monsters foam at the mouth upon the sight of blood.

Gangrena: a creature of mold, mildew and stagnation, the Gangrena's long, writhing cilia worm their way into flesh and inflict a fast-spreading infection of green, fungal slime. When prey has been immobilized or killed by this infection, the Gangrena set upon it with their feeding tubes, slurping up the diseased flesh and tittering happily. Even water turns green and slimy at their touch, though their fungus is harmless to ingest and whole Gangrena are considered a delicacy in foreign countries.

Scumwort: a frog mutated by vampirism, its bloated body produces dozens of flesh-eating creatures known commonly as "scumlets". Once a scumlet has gorged itself on meat it returns to be eaten by its parent Scumwort, which rapidly generates more of these "feeding bodies" with the collected nutrients. Ocassionally, a lost Scumlet slowly develops into a new Scumwort.

I like Scumwort. Something about a hideous toad with flesh eating offspring...

aah! mortigore re-worked! :0
I think this is the best orifice yet AFTER the original one (still have a weak spot for that one, it seemed cute and creepy at the same time)

Your flash one doesn't need to be adjusted or anything, I just felt the need to finally give him properly drawn teeth after Daimera's rendition

Yay! Yeah, he needed to be creepier. Not much has changed yet I think he looks way more ghoulish now. Maybe it's the human arm.

I love Mortigore. I LOVE Exovoros. I love Orifice, even though I liked the legless one a bit more. And Scumwort has automatic plus for the Surinam toad reference.

When I was little I thought the holes on the surinam toad were so cool I used to want one for a pet but only if it had recently had babies.

I definitely like Gangrena the best, very cute. And Mortigore is a close second on me kyootness scale.

The drawing doesn't express it too well but Mortigore's eye flails like an unmanned firehose.

Scumwort is boss. Symbiotic amphibous ghost disease minion.

You make it hard to choose favorites, but I think it's between Gangrena and Mortigore...but Orifice and Scumwort are cool too...dammit! Gotta eat them all!

Am i incorrect or is #4 basically an undead Surinam Toad?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

scythemantis In reply to cobo4231 [2003-12-21 05:19:57 +0000 UTC]

It borrows the holes but the frogs inside are tiny ravenous symbiotes rather than its own young. It's mostly just "the obligatory frog monster".
