Description Yay! My first commission. ^_^ I did this for a lady back east of a Quarter horse filly she owns. Her filly's name is Maybelline. For this I used colored pencil and black and white gel pen for her eye.

Lopsy? *giggles* I may need a translation. =>

I don't know if I could do more shading on this one or not as 1.) I don't really know what I'd do (lack of experience) and 2.) it was really hard to get the dark parts colored as I was using rose art pencils. UGH! They're rock hard. Now, they do have their place as they work good for the textures in the mane but not really shading and blending. The horse shoe is so layered that I don't think I could add anymore. lol Never done metal with colored pencils so it was a first shot. Maybe something else I need to experiment with more.

Lopsy...crooked....just a litte...right there....it looks...movable...hmmmm don't mind me

Metal is hard to draw whether in graphite or colored pencils! LOL It was just a pointer for future drawings, you don't have to go back and edit this one.

I hate rock hard pencils, I want prismacolors so bad.

The prisma colors were a gift; a set of only 24. I don't think I could buy them on my own unless I did some extreme batting of the eye lashes to hubby. @_@ They're so spendy but worth every penny.

There would be no way I could go back and do anything to it anyway... Roseart is like stain resistant once it builds up. You can't draw on it... in fact you could probably spill water on it and it wouldn't be ruined. lol I left it as bare minimum on detail as most bulk shoes are matte in their finish. There's really no detail. I figured good! Don't feel like makin' it like steel--iron's good! lol Not that I could *color* steel.....

This isn't bad at all, the horseshoe is a little lopsy but the filly itself is not bad at all. I think with a little more realistic shading and it would be very good, your great with colored pencils. I think I love the eye most, you captures a certain spirit of the horse with the eye.
