Description
The puma's done! ^.^ Still I'm not sure yet whether I want to add the grass around him or not. What do you guys think? Should I leave the puma the way he is, or should I add the ground and grass as well?Related content

Aw, well thanks ^.^ I'll decide later whether I want to go ahead and add the grass or not. In the meantime... might as well try and find a frame soon x3

Thanks ^.^ And that's true x3 I just don't know whether I want to take the extra time to do so or whether I like it as is. And that's also true. Perhaps I will submit it to the evil cat overlords xD

He is cute ^.^ I decided to post a link to the book I took the pattern from, so you can see what he'll look like once the pattern's done. You may have to remind me too once I'm done with the pattern that you get to decide what I do next. I'll give you your options now though, if you want to go ahead and decide the next pattern now. I have a grey wolf couple pattern, along with a golden wolf pattern, a tiger pattern, a horse family by a river, a deer herd in the winter, a lioness and her cub, and a red fox mom and her grown cub. I have others too, but I thought you'd like those the best ^.^

You know I'm not sure if I'll eventually sell any of them or not x3 I guess I could at some point. I just love all the big patterns so much I'm not sure I could give them up x3 I have thought about giving a few of them to close friends and family members at some point. I might give one of the wolf patterns to my mom's parents, since my grandpa is an outdoorsman type guy and my grandma used to cross-stitch. I may give one to my dad's parents as well (perhaps something involving sea life) since they used to dive a lot and my grandma is also really into crafts.

Well gifts are nice but if you ever need extra money, I'm sure there are lots of people who'd buy those easy o:

I'm sure there are x3 I may end up selling some small patterns at some point, just to make a few extra bucks if I feel I need or want to. I'd also like to show them off at fairs at some point, once I get better at the craft. I know my aunt as won a few ribbons for her own patterns, so that might be pretty fun ^.^

Ohhh there are competitions for it? do you come up with the deigns yourself?

Seabreeze-Swiftrun In reply to reviro [2011-08-10 01:45:38 +0000 UTC]
Yeah there are competitions, but I think there are different categories. I know some people come up with their own patterns, but I'll probably never be one of them x3 You can show off copy-written works though so long as you give credit to the pattern maker. It'd take a lot of time and effort to make a show worthy piece, but it would be fun to try and do someday in the future ^.^

Seabreeze-Swiftrun In reply to reviro [2011-08-10 02:07:54 +0000 UTC]
It would be cool ^.^ Like I said I'd have to get better at the craft though before considering making a show piece. The front isn't everything; I still make small mistakes here and there, and judges will even look at the back of patterns to make sure they look clean as possible as well. How you frame it is also key, so I may have to have someone frame it professionally, which would cost quite a bit of money. Still, I'd do it someday. Perhaps I'll practice with a few smaller patterns and try to show some of them once I get better.

o: Oh wow, well when you do get better it would be nice to give it a go just to see how things land you in a competition.
