And now for something completely different...This is a cross-stitch kit that I finished back in 2005, but only got around to mounting last month. So lazy. But yeah, I liked how it looked in the frame and all that, so I took a picture to share, while the actual piece sits on my wall

As for where I got it, I am up in Canada, actually, and I got it though a catalogue for a store called Mary Maxim, which sells all kinds of crafty things. Sadly, I don't think that will help you too much looking in the states. I don't think it will be as hard to find there as it was here though, since right after I finished that one, I got the SAME KIT from my aunt for xmas

actually, my boyfriend is going to live in canada from now on, he wah accepted in Ottawa University. Sad for me. Buuuut, this way he can buy lots of kits for me there \o/

I did this same one as a paint-by-number. How long did it take you to complete?

Not entirely sure, actually. I sort of picked at it over the span of a year or so. An hour here, 2 there, ect.

This is gorgeous and it see good to see a fellow slower cross stitcher. Some of the stitchers on Stitching Pirates are so very quick.

It did take a good bit of time, though more than it needed too, as I tended to work on it sporatically. Things take longer when you work on them a couple hours.... a month
