Description Recently I've been thinking about Animus dragons and wondering just how they got to Pyrrhia. We've been told that IceWings were the first to have them, but why? Animus powers don't exactly seem to be something that just pop up out of nowhere. We've been told they're genetic, so how did the IceWings get them?
Well, I've decided to answer this question myself.
Say hello to the EnchantedWings, a tribe of natural Animus(Animuses? Animi?)

Current Queen
Queen Cyclone, who is pictured above.

Habitat
Deep in the mountains or around fresh water such as lakes or rivers.

Life
Eggs, as with all dragons, take about a year to hatch. They resemble large pearls and are normally kept in water until the little ones hatch. Dragonets start off black with white feathers/fur, but after a year will be able to enchant their scales to be whatever colors they want.
EnchantedWings are naturally black with white fur. Most tend to avoid giving themselves any fancy markings.
Normally born bald, but some exceptions occur. Fur will start growing in about a week.
This enchantment isn't permanant, really, and they can change their scale color at any point in their lives if they want.
Beards will start growing at around four years old. Some EnchantedWings may have trouble growing beards naturally if they can at all(this is fairly uncommon). Both males and females can grow beards.
They can cut and style their fur anyway they like, including dying it with magic.
The whiskers behind their nose start growing at the same time as their beards. They grow the entire dragon's life.
EnchantedWings have an average lifespan of 150. Some may live longer, some may not.

Tribe
EnchantedWings are normally benevolent and intelligent, friendly to other tribes and willing to share their knowledge with anyone who will listen.
They are all natural animus dragons.
The queen and challenger do not fight to the death. Instead, they have a battle of wits. They play a game such as chess or checkers and the winner gets the throne. The current queen must rule for a year before she can be challenged again. She can only be challenged by her daughters, granddaughters or nieces, not sisters, mothers, grandmothers, or aunts.
If, for some reason, a queen dies before she can be challenged, any dragons who are capable of taking the throne will challenge each other. Winner gets to be the new queen.
Their wings are technically too small for flight and are mostly for decoration. A queen put an enchantment on the whole tribe long ago so that they could fly.
That same queen once put an enchantment on the whole tribe so that they could not use their powers for evil and if they do they will lose their powers for good and can not obtain them again. This rule applies to hybrids as well, but if a hybrid marries outside the tribe their child is no longer considered an EnchantedWing and is exempt from the rule unless they are enchanted to follow it.
An EnchantedWing who has lost their powers also loses their ability to fly.
Dragons who normally cannot have children can enchant a rock to hatch into their child with permission from the Queen, but only if they do not have a history of violence and haven't been a criminal for around five or so years.
EnchantedWings rarely ever leave their kingdom, but one was curious and flew far beyond the borders of the continent, ending up in the land of Pyrrhia. It was there that they met and fell in love with an IceWing, completely unaware of the terror that animus powers would spread throughout Pyrrhia...

Name Rules
EnchantedWings are normally named after bodies of water(rivers, lakes, streams), storms(such as cyclones, rain), plants, colors, animals found in the mountains, or jewels. Technically, an EnchantedWing can name themselves whatever they want, so even those aren't set in stone.

Banned Spells
These are spells that will result in an EnchantedWing losing all of their powers and ability to fly.
Bringing harm to an innocent dragon
Mind control on an innocent dragon
Immortality(Will always fail)
Invincibility is only allowed to be used once every week and it cannot last longer than an hour. If a dragon tries to make themselves invincible longer/again they will temporarily lose their powers for a week.
An EnchantedWing cannot use any of these banned spells on other dragons.
Also banned; changing a dragon's appearance without their permission. For example; if a dragon wants another to give them stripes then they must say "I give this dragon my full permission to give me stripes." Even non EnchantedWings must give permission.
An EnchantedWing cannot gift another animus powers if that dragon has lost their powers before for breaking a rule.
If an EnchantedWing wishes to gift another animus powers, they must say that dragon will follow the EnchantedWing rules or else it will not work.

Other
Naturally completely furless/featherless EnchantedWings are possible. Furlessness and featherlessness go hand in hand so you cannot have a furry EnchantedWing with no feathers unless magic is involved. However, what causes this is a negative mutation and furless/featherless EnchantedWings have trouble reproducing if they somehow make it to adulthood.
Some EnchantedWings may have problems growing out a beard. This is normal and magic can fix it if they really want a beard. It is not connected to the mutation that causes furlessness/featherlessness, so dragons who can't grow a beard often don't have any problems unless something else is wrong with them.
EnchantedWing wing size varies, but they normally don't get any bigger than in the picture. Exceptions are only for those who have enchanted themselves to have larger wings or for hybrids(who would naturally have larger wings).
Winglessness is a common mutation.. This mutation does not effect the dragon's flight and does not negatively effect the dragon in any way.
I decided to remake this tribe and give it more room for creativity. You can do whatever you want with your EnchantedWing, provided you follow all of the rules above. Make them any color you want, give them any hairstyle, give them crazy markings!

Creating your Own
This is an open tribe, so feel free to make your own! In fact, I encourage it.
This tribe doesn't have too many strict rules in terms of how they can look. Because of their magic, an EnchantedWing can look however you want them to. This is an open tribe and anyone can create one.
Go wild with their colors and appearance! Try to make sure they still look somewhat like an EnchantedWing, or you might be better off making a different dragon entirely.
Feel free to make a hybrid, too! EnchantedWings normally don't leave their kingdom much, but they are normally very friendly towards visitors and every now and then an EnchantedWing might become curious and begin to wander the world.
The base linked below should be used as just that, a base. Feel free to edit it by giving the dragon new eyes, new wings and ears and even new horns! No two dragons look exactly alike, especially with the EnchantedWings. The base is what an EnchantedWing would look like if they didn't use any magic to alter themselves(well, aside from the lack of fur)
However do keep in mind that unless they really, really want to, an EnchantedWing likely wouldn't change their entire body. While exact lengths vary between individual, EnchantedWings have somewhat short legs and very long bodies. Please do not change this drastically as they are based off eastern dragons. Let them stay scaly noodles.
Fun fact; Hybrid EnchantedWings often look more like the mother in terms of body shape. A hybrid with an EnchantedWing mother will often look like a short-legged noodle version of the father's tribe.(Dragon genetics in general are weird so go ahead and make a hybrid with ridiculously long legs and a short body if you really want)
Wing shape can be different as well! Feathered wings are the most common, but bat-like wings do occur(very rare unless enchanted to look like that, though). You can even have a mix of both!
Go nuts, have fun. Treat yourself and make yourself an magic noodle.

A base so you can make your own can be found here .
Be sure to keep an eye on this guide in case I think of anything else to add/anymore banned spells. If you have some ideas of your own, feel free to mention them.
EDIT: Added a few things.
