Here it is! My equine secret santa for 2018, for the lovely Rigardatta !I actually finished this a few weeks ago and have been eagerly awaiting to upload my present. The lighting was difficult to make his markings stand out more (particularly on the forelegs) which I apologize for, otherwise, I hope I captured Rax well enough here.
This piece is also a summary of everything I learned from 2018's year of art. Literally everything has been packed into here, use of blurs, textures, new painterly brush styles, lighting techniques, use of contrast, attention to detail - you name it, I shoved it into this piece!
And I quite like how it turned out, I'm very excited for next year's progress as an artist.

It's great! very powerful and dynamic! I know how difficult this character is and I thought that for an artist who would get it would be a tough experience. but everything looks very cool. I adore the background, it is so perfect for the character. mountains, harsh sky and flying snow, mane fluttering in the wind. you just grabbed all the essentials that fit the character and life of this stallion. and his horn is very canonical. Thank you for this beauty! (I use Google translator, I apologize for possible mistakes)
