"This will teach me self restraint"....

Regardless, this was fun to do. The goal has been to do the inktober challenge in the form of animations, not for inktober's sake but to practice animation more. The overall goal was to be able to get to a point where I can create scenes. When I saw the prompt rocket and outpost I just figured that I would give it a shot and merge those together to form a scene. It did take longer than intended mostly because I underestimated the amount of stuff that went into it but I am glad that I experienced it. Backgrounds have to be quickly drawn for scene's and I am not even good at environments so that slowed me down a little. The "enemy base" was also hard to do and my first quick sketch of it was horrible...the final one is not as horrible. I did get caught up in some of the details while other details were thrown on the page to hide lack of design...e.g. the image of the base is just things and stuff thrown together because I have no idea how to draw buildings. Lots of ref's were used for everything.

I have also decided that I am not going to do an animation a day...that was to get a groove going - groove achieved Instead, I am going to combine the remainder of the prompts to form one scene which includes everything...I already have an idea I just need to do it. The upcoming scene has more physics based things and no explosions. I may have gone too far with all the explosions. All things concidered comparing the animation that I uploaded last year for inktober to what I have achieved here, there is a big difference and is actually the only full scene that I have created...no matter how rough it looks in areas. I got lazy towards the end.
