Description

Slug Trolls are without a doubt the most cultured and learned of the faeries. Tireless readers of anything written, they dedicate themselves to poetry, magical history, music and the arts. Slug Troll-teachers are in charge of educating young faeries, and the fact that their bodies are soft and gelatinous, like a jellyfish's, doesn't stop them from running libraries and schools. They are poets, journalists, critics, scientists and expert chess/checkers players. However, it must be said that their proud and distant attitude doesn't exactly make them popular with other faeries - then again, the refined Slug Troll doesn't care.

Now, they're called "Slug Trolls" for obvious reasons. They are giant octopus, slug-like creatures with slimy, gelatinous, transparent skin covered in spots. They have multiple wire-like tentacle appendages, wrinkled foreheads, and four eyes. Two bulging eyes always focused on studying and two more that are small eyestalks. Their expressionless eyes are tennis ball sized and set with orange irises, which move two and fro on their narrow stalks. Their mouths are circular, and they speak in squeaky, screechy, or raspy voices.
Their soft tubular limbs cannot support anything heavier than a book. Their bodies have moving spots and since their bodies are gelatinous, they can be passed through. Slug Trolls show their moods by changing the color of their body.
Slug Trolls, when they don't know something (it does happen!), simply make it up.
