i have a few Kollwitz prints i bought a yard sale in [link] private collection and collaboration gallery there... she's always been one of my favorites. history etal.. striking and real image.. thank you for sharing (hers are towards the bottom.. the sienna ones are the ones i got.. fyi)

she was an amazing woman, along with her husband... they did what nobody else would have. That's what it's all about... too few too stood up too late but they went on treating people as human beings despite orders to the contrary... i imagine they helped bring some hope to many.. and i also believe the hopelessness was so overwhelming there would have been no other way to witness what they did and express what she witnessed so eloquently....
she's my fav (i'm a print maker too so love her work) nice to find another who appreciates as much
