Description I figured out how to modify textures in FSX . So far I have done his tailfin, canards and mouth. I also erased all the words and codes because biomechanical planes are not manufactured in my universe. I did not do his belly scales yet because of how hard it will be.

Drawing the belly scales in FSX requires drawing on at least 4 seperate images. This creates a high chance of mistakes, for example it is easy to misalign the scales on one side of the body with the other, making everything look weird and messy. Already I had to start over in the mouth area because I accidentally drew scales onto the roof . I decided for now, he won't have belly scales in FSX.

So far I am very happy with the progress I have done. It's already a great feeling to actually see your OC flying! Best of all, you are technically the OC because you are the one controlling him in FSX

Update: If anyone wants to fly Sebascelisc in FSX, you can download it here : www.mediafire.com/download/7pm…
Note: It uses the Concorde addon modelled by Eric Buchmann. If you don't have this addon, you can get it here: flyawaysimulation.com/download…

Sebascelisc In reply to RMS-OLYMPIC [2015-01-15 03:36:46 +0000 UTC]

In Sebascelisc's home universe, Sasha usually rides inside the nosecone between the nosecone's "visor" and his eyes

The story goes that Sasha noticed an unusual plane with snake features then discovered that this plane can actually communicate with her. Of course this plane is Sebascelisc. Sasha always wanted to know what it's like to fly. After discussing where Sasha would sit, it was decided the small area between Sebascelisc's eyes and the nosecone's visor is the safest place because it is sealed from the outside and Sebascelisc can literally keep a very close eye on her safety. They became best friends after the flight

Now i want to fly Sebascelisc Airlines

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Sebascelisc In reply to MacThePlaneh [2015-01-15 01:23:03 +0000 UTC]

You can in the FSX universe, but not in Sebascelisc's home universe because my biomechanical planes actually have organs/flesh that replaces non-essential mechanical features like seats (non-essential for the machine's survival). Therefore humans can't ride in planes in my universe

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MacThePlaneh In reply to Sebascelisc [2015-01-15 01:31:08 +0000 UTC]

well i guess you could ride on top of them

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Sebascelisc In reply to MacThePlaneh [2015-01-15 01:42:50 +0000 UTC]

Yes you can . Make sure you bring a parachute in case you fall off . I just realised that you would be blown off Sebascelisc if he exceeds maybe 200 km/h which is literally after takeoff. 2400km/h is definately not possible to ride on, unless you're Sasha because a snake can fit in the space between the nosecone visor and the eyes

I gotta try this so bad.

Sebascelisc In reply to LightConcorde [2015-01-15 01:06:07 +0000 UTC]

Since you have a white fuselage, I think it's easy to make Light for FSX . Modifying the textures of the wings is very easy compared to the fuselage.

Just wondering, do you have FSX?

Pinniplane [2015-01-14 12:47:55 +0000 UTC]

Creating a working aircraft textures for FS9/FSX has been one of my dream for several years but when i tried to find a repaint tutorial on the internet i always ended up losing interest and give up later because every time i read about it i felt that it's too complicated and hard and i don't have enough patience to read the whole tutorial.

What Concorde model is this? Libardo Guzman?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Sebascelisc In reply to Pinniplane [2015-01-14 12:52:32 +0000 UTC]

It is modelled by Eric Buchmann (if you are wondering about the creator). Here's where I downloaded the FSX addon: flyawaysimulation.com/download…

You're welcome!

Everything I painted on turns black.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Sebascelisc In reply to OwenConcorde [2015-01-14 12:23:43 +0000 UTC]

That is really weird. I used DXTbmp to open the textures and transfer the textures to Gimp. I drew on Gimp, click save, then click save on DXTbmp. That's how I did mine in a nutshell.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

OwenConcorde In reply to Sebascelisc [2015-01-14 12:25:55 +0000 UTC]

Wow! I use Corel Paintshop Pro X4 for almost anything, but I just don't know why it makes anything for FSX black.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Sebascelisc In reply to OwenConcorde [2015-01-14 12:34:49 +0000 UTC]

Wait... Did you even use DXTbmp? That program converts the textures to a rewritable format of bmp, then sends it to any image editing program you want. It also converts the modified textures back to the format designed for the game FSX. I think the problem is that you did not use DXTbmp to convert the images. Your program probably converted it to a rewritable format, but did not convert it back to the originl format that is compatible with FSX.
