“Why me? I ask you, why me?” Miggs plopped down and dropped his chin into his hand. “First, my partner runs off to get married and I have to rob the jewelry shop myself. Then, the pilot for my getaway plane catches the flu and I have to fly myself. Then, my contact in Cancún gets arrested for drunk driving. And now, I find that I have not one, but TWO famous investigators after me. What have I done to deserve this?”
“You robbed a jewelry shop.” said Nancy.
Miggs look at her with exasperation in his face. “You weren’t supposed to answer. Will you shut up and let me complain a little more?”
“Sorry.” Nancy said, while rolling her eyes.
Meanwhile, Rhanda has shifted herself around to be able to see him. “While you’re complaining, could you untie me for a moment so I can take a picture. You’d look good on the front page.”
Nancy and Miggs slowly turned their heads towards her. “Really?” they exclaimed simultaneously.
